THERE IS MOTION IN THE OCEAN

For their new cruise ship Mein Schiff 1, the travel and tourism company TUI invited us to create a large artwork to be installed on the ship’s deck.

As a result, we designed and put together a wave-like relief lettering consisting of almost 400 differently shaped lamellas to gently remind you that „There is Motion in the Ocean“.

Stretched to a span of 8 meters, the three-dimensional artwork has a strong impact from a distance, developing into an almost hypnotic experience when taking a closer walk along the wall. Topped off with handpainted calligraphy and comic elements to make sure you keep your smile on a rough sea.
